Harrington selected as Assistant Director of CISA National Risk Management Center

WASHINGTON – Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Jen Easterly, announced that Mona Harrington has been named Assistant Director of the National Risk Management Center.
“I am thrilled to have Mona Harrington at the helm of our National Risk Management Center,” Easterly said. “Her extensive experience in cybersecurity, election security, and risk management make her the ideal executive to lead the NRMC as it evolves to meet the threats of today and tomorrow. The cyber and physical risks facing our nation’s critical infrastructure are vast and complex; NRMC’s work is essential to ensuring our collective resources are having the greatest impact on security and resilience.”
Harrington has been servicing as the acting assistant director since March of this year. Prior to the appointment Harrington served at the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC), as the Executive Director and the Chief Information and Security Officer, and before that she spent 17 years in various cybersecurity and IT leadership roles (i.e. Assistant Circuit Executive for IT and Security for the Judiciary).
