IRVINE, Calif.—HID Global, a provider of access control and identity management solutions, has entered into a reseller agreement with RedCloud for EasyLobby Secure Visitor Management (SVM) software, according to a company statement.
The agreement enables RedCloud to include HID Global's software into its complete line of access control appliances, including RedCloud Enterprise and RedCloud Virtual.
When visitors and contractors are badged using SVM, the information is automatically passed from the SVM database to the RedCloud Security Management Software, which authenticates the visitor badge. The RedCloud system is notified immediately and the card is deactivated when the visitor checks out of Easy Lobby.
“Enabling lobby attendants to handle the badging process for visitors or contractors directly from the front desk helps create a more secure and efficient method of managing the issuing process,” Jeff Ross, vice president of product management, Red Cloud, said in the statement.
Through the partnership, RedCloud's offering will now feature a solution that includes access control, video surveillance, and identity management, the statement said.
