MINNEAPOLIS—Honeywell is expanding its portfolio of Relialign door interlock switches with a version designed specifically for commercial applications, according to a company statement.
The Commercial Door Interlock Switch (CDI Series) is designed to hold the swing door in place and prevent it from being opened when not desired. Several design features, such as the door-closure retention cam, contribute to the enhanced safety, simplified wiring and ease of installation, the statement said.
"Honeywell's Commercial Door Interlock Switches save customers time and reduce cost by eliminating engineering, procurement, and installation associated with custom OEM-made products," Maria Cancino, senior global product marketing manager for Honeywell Sensing and Control, said in the statement. "In addition, the CDI Series' non-intrusive design eliminates the need to destroy the door or frame when installing the device, helping to reduce installation costs."
Compared to Honeywell's Relialign two residential products (the RDI Series and the RDI2 Series), the CDI has a pull force more than four times as strong, and has a longer mechanical life, according to the statement.
