SAN DIEGO--Identity management systems manufacturer ImageWare Systems announced this week the complete acquisition of Sol Logic, a developer of real-time voice recognition and language translation technology. The all-stock transaction is valued at roughly $3.2 million.
ImageWare will now integrate Sol Logic's technology into its larger biometric platform, which is hardware and algorithm independent, enabling the enrollment and management of unlimited population sizes. ImageWare's identification products are used to manage and issue secure credentials including national IDs, passports, driver licenses, smart cards and access control credentials. Now integrators will be able to offer end users the ability to capture and manage biometric identities using multiple biometrics and multiple hardware platforms, and provide language translation and voice recognition capabilities whereby an English-speaking user can be understood in numerous languages including Spanish, German, French, Korean and Arabic.
Sol Logic founder Frank Mitchell will join the ImageWare management team.
