CARMEL, Ind.—As part of effort to beef up security at schools, Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies is providing its local Security and Safety Consultants (SSCs) with increased tools, according to a company statement.
One measure the company is taking is to augment its grant-funding consultation capabilities to school administrators by offering data from its cloud-based database of federal and state grant funding information, which identifies $11.5 billion in funding sources, according to the statement.
Ingersoll Rand also plans to increase its number of school safety seminars and webinars that it offers to school districts and emergency responders. These are one-day seminars or one-hour webinars entitled “Safe & Secure Schools.” The interactive sessions present solutions, many of which can be implemented at little or not cost.
Ingersoll Rand also has a new Safe Schools website, which provides information schools can use to increase awareness and safety.
