Integrator wraps up series of school, university projects

April 29, 2004 ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Systems integrator and telecommunications company The Comm Group recently announced it has completed several contracts totaling approximately $1.3 million in work. One set of projects involved $500,000 of work for four schools districts. The Upper Saint Clair, Mount Lebanon, Pleasant Hills and Chartiers Valley schools districts in Pennsylvania were outfitted with systems that ranged from security, fire, sound and computer network infrastructure. Another round of projects entailed providing card access, fire, sound and paging systems to three area colleges. The work totaled more than $500,000 and was done at Carnegie Mellon University, Chatham College and Dusquesne University. The Comm Group also announced it completed installing fiber optics, cabling and sound systems at two educational facilities. The jobs at Central Elementary, part of The Big River Falls School District, and at Penn State University in Beaver, Pa., totaled more than $300,000, and tapped into the company’s telecommunications and LAN/WAN network expertise.
