WOODBURY, N.Y. - Document verification company Intelli-Check has partnered with biometric company Bioscrypt to integrate fingerprint technology into Intelli-Check’s ID Check product which is used to read barcode and magnetic stripes found on various forms of identification.
The integration will now enable ID Check to read fingerprint templates stored on identification. Templates will be stored in a 2D barcode where it will be read by ID Check to perform user authentication.
According to Frank Mandelbaum, chairman and chief executive officer of Intelli-Check, integrating fingerprint verification with the company’s ID Check system adds another layer of verification criteria. The partnership also readies both companies should states, the military and other government issuers decide to place an additional personnal identifier such as fingerprints on forms of identification.
