FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.—Level 5 Security Group, an electronic security company based here, has achieved Edison Testing Laboratory certification for its fire system installation, servicing, testing, and monitory offerings, according to a company statement.
The certification, according to Level 5 Security president John Ray, positions the company to better serve office, retail, industrial and healthcare facilities.
“By attaining ETL certification, we continue to further our mission of ensuring that our customers enjoy dependable, uninterrupted operation of their fire detection systems, which must comply with complex municipal fire codes,” Ray said in the statement. “Dade County and a growing number of Palm Beach County municipalities are requiring third-party certification of fire system installations and services.”
The ETL program assures authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) that fire alarm systems have been installed, are being properly maintained, and are given annual third-party oversight by a nationally recognized testing laboratory to ensure full compliance with all federal, national and local standards and codes.
