Management changes at ScanSource

GREENVILLE, S.C.—Changes to its management structure will enhance ScanScource's growth strategy and focus on worldwide technology markets, the company said today.
“The management organization we have in place is well armed with the experience and leadership to guide our teams globally in an effort to help our vendor and reseller partners grow their business and find new opportunities,” said Mike Ferney, ScanSource president of worldwide communications and services, in a statement in a Nov. 4 news release.
Christy Thompson has been named vice president of worldwide marketing, according to the release. She has been with ScanSource since 2005 and was previously director of strategic marketing.
Len Parramore and Tim Ramsey are taking the reins of two new controller positions. Parramore is now vice president and controller of worldwide barcode and security, and Ramsey is vice president and controller of worldwide communications and service, according to the news release.
Parramore was senior manager in the assurance and advisory practice. Ramsey was vice president of worldwide reseller financial services.
David Hertwig, formerly vice president of sales for ScanSource POS and barcode, is the new vice president of worldwide reseller financial services.
ScanSource is a distributor of specialty technology products, with a focus on point-of-sale, barcode, communications and security solutions.
