OTTAWA, Ontario - March Networks, a provider of digital video security systems, has signed a joint sales and marketing agreement with Sprint to promote IP-networked digital video applications to retailers in the United States.
The March Networks IP-networked digital video product line consists of multiple Linux-based DVR systems that accommodate a range of video recording and monitoring requirements. Within the retail environment, the systems offer camera recording rates from 1 fps to 30 fps, recording schedule control, network bandwidth usage limitations and wireless video viewing on handheld devices. An enterprise-level software suite integrates the March Networks DVR systems with in-store, point-of-sale information to enhance loss prevention, risk management and operations management.
Peter Strom, president and chief executive officer at the company, said in a prepared statement that its relationship with Sprint provides further evidence of the trend toward increased collaboration between security and IT teams.
