Mark Pekovitch in at ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions as product manager

IRVING, Texas – Global access control solutions provider ASSA ABLOY announced that Mark Pekovitch has been named the ALWIN and Alkey solutions product manager for ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions – Critical Infrastructure (AAGS-CI).

The company said that Pekovitch has spent the last 18 years bringing “best-in-class” products and services to the access hardware industry. Pekovitch will work from the Chicago area and report to managing director Jerry Burhans. ASSA ABLOY noted that Pekovitch's addition to the team is part of its next phase following the acquisition of ALCEA, a French manufacturer of security supervisor software and electronic control equipment, last year.

“I’m excited to work with the ALCEA team and bring their product line to life here in the U.S. Working and collaborating with some of the brightest people in the industry who are associated with one of the largest security companies in the world is a dream come true,” acknowledged Pekovitch.

“I have a vast working knowledge of many ASSA ABLOY product lines in the physical hardware space,” he continued. “I’m looking forward to building my awareness of their software and electronics packages, including the ALWIN and Alkey product lines. My ability to use analytics to research market trends and overcome challenges will be an asset and help successfully grow these products.”

Prior to joining AAGS-CI, Pekovitch worked for Eberhard Manufacturing (formerly Illinois Lock) for 13 years, the last four as product engineer/manager. He was promoted to that position after serving as a product design engineer. Previously he worked as a design engineer at Liquid Controls in the aviation and truck and transfer industry.

Pekovitch indicated that with joining the team he hoped to build a stronger more sustainable critical infrastructure group using the skills and knowledge he’s gained during his career.
