Milestone acquires Connex International

COPENHAGEN, Denmark—Milestone Systems is purchasing all outstanding shares of Connex International, a Minneapolis-based surveillance training, certification and consulting company, Milestone announced today.
Connex has been managing and conducting Milestone's channel partner training and offering certification testing of Milestone Solution Partner integrations with the company's XProtect open platform, according to the Nov. 4 news release.
Milestone Systems is an open platform IP video management software company. It began offering embedded VMS in early 2013.
"As a key component in our pursuit to serve the clients of the future, Milestone will continue to invest significant resources in the Milestone Knowledge Program and the teams driving our global training concepts to market,” said Lars Thinggaard, Milestone president and CEO, in a prepared statement. “The full inclusion of Connex into Milestone is a testimony to this strategy. Their services support Milestone partners in delivering the most competitive, well-designed and high quality solutions in the industry."
Connex's professional consulting services to key Milestone partners will now be incorporated into Milestone's core business, according to the release.
Milestone had been a majority stakeholder in Connex following a July 2010 initial investment.
