WASHINGTON - The Open Security Exchange, a group that plans to define best practices and promote vendor neutral specifications for the integration of security devices, welcomed several new members to the group.
Along with founding members HID Corp., Computer Associates, Gemplus and Tyco’s Software House, recent additions include VistaScape, ActivCard, Core Street, Fargo and Siemens SBT.
The new members were announced at the National Summit on Security Show, along with additions to the group’s management board. Sandra Jones, of Sandra Jones Co., and Steve Hunt of Forrester Research joined the board, while an alliance was also struck with the Security Industry Association.
Within the next 12 months, OSE officials expect the industry will begin to see the fruits of the group’s labor, with companies adopting technical specifications that address interoperability between physical and cyber security technologies.
