Pimloc launches Spotlight feature for enhanced focus in high-footfall environments

SAN FRANCISCO—Pimloc, a provider of AI video privacy, redaction, and analytics, has announced a brand-new feature to the Secure Redact platform, Spotlight.

Designed with high-traffic environments in mind, such as football stadiums, entertainment venues and busy public locations, this innovative addition to the platform allows users to focus on specific areas within video footage, ensuring precise redaction where it's needed most.

Spotlight enables users to home in on particular sections of a captured scene, to focus on the activity to be viewed or reviewed while being able to blanket protect all the personal and sensitive data in the background. In order to protect everyone who is not the main subject of the video, individuals who enter the spotlight window will still be redacted as usual, unless they have been set to remain visible.

The ability to apply multiple Spotlights onto the same video enables the viewer to focus on the sections of video that need to be reviewed. This level of precision and control is invaluable for maintaining public safety and effectively managing complex environments. 

Spotlight is ideal for numerous scenarios, for example if footage from a busy public place needs to be shared with media, an incident takes place at a crowded entertainment venue or even in a school setting where a large number of children would need to be protected.
