ATLANTA – Pye-Barker Fire & Safety has acquired New Jersey-based Bevan Security Systems, giving the company even more comprehensive security and alarm services in its portfolio.
This expansion to Pye-Barker's alarm division enhances the company’s offerings in the New Jersey area. Thanks to its recent aggressive growth, Pye-Barker has become one of the leading fire and safety companies in the northeastern United States, it claims. For Pye-Barker, the acquisition makes sense and is a good fit.
"Like Pye-Barker, Bevan Security was built on entrepreneurial spirit and growth, while maintaining the values of a family-owned business," said Bart Proctor, CEO of Pye-Barker. "We are proud of Pye-Barker's strong acquisition strategy and our ability to attract companies like Bevan that align with our culture of commitment to quality work and investment in team members."
Headquartered in Delran, N.J., Bevan Security specializes in burglar and fire alarm systems, access control, surveillance systems, 24-hour emergency service, and central station monitoring. The cpmpany was founded by Randall J. Bevan in 1986 and grew from a home office to a market leader thanks to its own integration of seven other alarm companies. "One of the core tenants at Bevan Security Systems is the continual improvement to ensure our customers get the best service," noted Randall Bevan, President of Bevan Security. "With Pye-Barker's guidance, we have additional opportunities to serve our community and our employees with excellence."
Pye-Barker confirmed that Bevan Security will continue to operate with their existing team of technicians. The company also recently acquired the New Jersey-based Reliable Alarms Systems, Inc., another company that specializes in fire alarm, access control, and security systems for commercial and residential properties.
Both transactions were coordinated by Pye-Barker’s Phillip Gardner, president of B Safe (which merged with Pye-Barker in April 2022).
