PALATINE, Ill. and Vienna, Va.—Schneider Electric and Alarm.com have teamed up to bring Schneider's Wise home management system to home builders, utilities and other service providers in the efficient energy space, the companies announced today.
The partnership will capitalize on Schneider's strong presence in energy management and Alarm.com's back-end, data processing and user interface capabilities, according to a news release.
Leveraging Alarm.com's Connected Home platform, Schneider's home management system offers homeowners and property managers the ability to track and manage electricity use remotely, monitor the power generated by rooftop solar panels, and operate connected thermostats and load control devices to reduce energy expenses.
“By partnering with home builders, utilities and others in the residential energy ecosystem, this integrated Wiser solution gives homeowners the ability to feel secure, reduce energy use and save money, in one simplified, combined offer,” Yann Kulp, VP of strategy & business development, EcoBusiness North America, Schneider Electric, said in a statement.
