School district opts for Balco, Guardian

SEMINOLE, Texas—Plagued with false alarms, surly technnicians and other problems, Seminole Independent School District Board members unanimously decided to dump their current integrator and go with Balco for fire alarm system installation and repairs at its junior high, according to a report in the Seminole Sentinel.
The full price of the Balco contract is $88,870, according to the report.
The board also agreed to install security cameras at the elementary school, using about $30,000 in federal funds. Guardian Security Systems of Lubbock will install the system.
