ORANGE, Calif.--In its first U.S. acquisition since spinning off Securitas Systems, Securitas USA announced its purchase of Safeguard Services, based in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Nov. 9. Terms of the deal were not released. Safeguard largely serves the business and property management sector in Hawaii.
Securitas USA is now a completely separate company from Securitas Systems, the systems integration firm, after a successful Sept. 1 spinoff.
The Safeguard purchase "provides us with a portfolio to specialize our service delivery platform for commercial office buildings we have in Los Angeles and other cities across the country," Tony Sabatino, Securitas USA Southern California/Hawaii region president, said in a statement.
Securitas Security Services USA now has more than 600 branch offices in the United States.
