LAKE HIGHLANDS, Texas—Residents of this community north of Dallas are beefing up home security after a rash of home invasions, according to a report from NBCDFW, a Dallas area NBC affiliate.
The home invasions occurred on Feb. 22, March 15 and March 19, according to the report. As a result, security trucks have been seen with more frequency in the neighborhood, and residents have been more vigilant about setting their systems.
“Up until the latest attacks, I have not been real vigorous about setting it, but since like two days I have been using all our security systems,” said local resident Kari Simpson, according to the report.
In addition to security trucks, more police patrol cars have been visible in the neighborhood.
