LANCASTER, Pa.—Select Security has appointed Steve Firestone to its newly created position of executive vice president, according to a press release.
"This is an exciting time at Select Security, and the time was ripe for Steve to join us," said Patrick Egan, company president, in a prepared statement. "Our company is at the point where we are poised to leap from a good company to a great, recognizable brand name. His experience with transforming companies like ours into world-class operations is well known within the industry, and I look forward to the changes I see on the horizon."
As executive vice president, Firestone will be responsible for developing and maximizing sales channels, exploring untapped and underserved markets, and implementing best practices for the multi-state sales force.
Firestone, a veteran of the security industry, previously served in management roles at the Entergy Corp. and at Commonwealth Security, formerly owned by Egan. Firestone also founded The Firestone Group, a consulting firm, where he led the development of the strategic and business plans for tech startups across several industries. He also served as senior VP for the Wasserman Media Group and senior marketing executive at Office Depot, the release noted.
