Showing gratitude …

We are entering a really busy time here at Security Systems News, highlighted by the recent big announcement of the partnership with PSA on our new Integrator of the Year and Bill Bozeman Awards, which took almost a year of hard work and planning to create; the soon-to-be-announced “40 under 40” Class of 2021 winners; the list of Women in Security honorees who we will be featuring with Security Industry Association’s (SIA’s) Women in Security Forum (WISF) in 2022; and, last but not least, an announcement coming next week of three new Advisory Board members to help guide content for our in-person security technology conference, SecurityNext 2022, which we have begun planning for already!

While I will be doing my best to stay sane during these next few months, what I love about this time of the year is it’s all about showing gratitude and recognizing those in our industry who are leading by example, blazing their own trail and many times giving back.

I love that our readers can click on our “40 under 40” tab, or our Women in Security tab, and read the latest round of fascinating profiles of the next generation of security leaders. And, we even created a tab to go right to the nomination form for our new awards. Very exciting times!

And getting back to this week’s theme, gratitude. Now is the perfect time to recognize an integrator that is making a difference in our industry. Please take a moment to nominate the company you work for if you are an integrator or nominate a company that you feel deserves the recognition and the limelight. The few minutes it takes to fill out the nomination form could make a huge difference for a company, giving them a moment to be celebrated at PSA TEC 2022 in Denver, Colo., May 16-19, and throughout the pages of Security Systems News!

As we have learned over this past year, time is precious; it is more important than ever to focus on the things that matter most – family, faith and friends – and show gratitude for what makes this life and the security industry so great!
