MACON, Ga.-The operator of an installation company that has been installing Sonitrol systems for the past decade has opened his own Sonitrol franchise here.
The location, called Sonitrol of Middle Georgia, which will cover two counties in central and southern Georgia, opened June 1 and will primarily serve as a sales location, said owner Tim LeBlanc. The installation company, Time Out Systems, will continue to perform the system installations throughout the new sales territory, which encompasses Bibb and Houston counties, he said. Monitoring will be done through a central station in St. Petersburg, Fla.
To open the new Sonitrol location, LeBlanc moved Time Out Systems from its former headquarters in Florida and co-located the two companies in new office space in Macon.
Time Out Systems, a 12-year-old company, has nine contractors that work as field installers and technicians in Georgia, Florida and Alabama.
Sonitrol officials said the new location will help the company expand its sales and presence in Georgia. Another franchise in Savannah opened at the beginning of this year, while another operates in Atlanta.
