Spicer takes over SimplexGrinnell on interim basis

BOCA RATON, Fla.--Jim Spicer has taken over Dean Seavers' role as head of SimplexGrinnell on an interim basis, according to a Tyco International spokesperson.
"We are conducting a search to replace Dean permanently and are considering internal and possibly external candidates," the spokesperson told Security Systems News.
Spicer was serving as vice president of business operations for SimplexGrinnell, which makes up most of the North American portion of the Tyco Fire division. He has been with Simplex for more than 15 years and "has extensive experience with all aspects of the business."
Wormald, a designer, manufacturer and installer of fire alarms systems based in Australia and New Zealand, is the other major business contained within Tyco Fire Protection.
