HICKORY, N.C.-Power supply and surge protection manufacturer Stealth Laboratories recently quadrupled the size of its headquarters, providing the company with more room to make product and expand its lines.
In April, the company moved into a newly built building next to its current facility, providing Stealth Laboratories with a separate production facility. The facility will focus on making power supplies for CCTV, access control and alarm applications, according to Gavin Sinclair, vice president of sales and marketing.
"It's meeting increased demand on our whole product line," said Sinclair. "We've taken market share with a combination of attractive prices, features for easy installation of the product and reliable performance."
Besides making product, the new headquarters increases warehouse capacity, said Matt Bumgarner, president of Stealth Laboratories.
"It will enable us to ship basically from stock on a much better rate than before," said Bumgarner. "Instead of keeping 10 of something on a shelf, we can keep 25. The depth of inventory is dramatically enhanced."
That depth of inventory is now needed. Over the last year, Sinclair said the company's sales grew 50 percent. He anticipates the company's steady growth to continue, thanks in part to two new product lines for Stealth Laboratories.
One of those is a new line of surge suppressors for video, power, data and telephone lines that launched earlier this year. In a few weeks, the company is set to launch a new line of access control power supplies.
