SureView busy with partnership, integration

TAMPA, Fla.—SureView Systems has been busy lately with partnerships and integrations. The video-intensive security software developer on Sept. 10 announced Kansas City, Mo.-based Alarm Central had chosen SureView's video monitoring automation platform Immix for its central station automation platform. In addition, on Sept. 17 SureView announced the integration into Immix of ioimage's intelligent video analytics appliances. Immix delivers a single software platform for the management of video surveillance/CCTV, intrusion and fire alarms, access control and two-way VoIP audio.

Jeremy Wyble, GM of Alarm Central, said the partnership with SureView was the logical next step for a central station looking to stay relevant. “Video monitoring is really the next step for central stations to take so we wanted to be in the forefront,” Wyble said. “We were doing video before, basically, on standalone machines and every time we had a different DVR come into play the operators would have to be trained on that. So this allows the operators to be trained on one point of alarm handling … Immix will allow us to expand our video monitoring offerings and increase productivity and revenue.”

Of the integration with ioimage, SureView EVP of sales Matt Krebs said the added value of false alarm reduction was a key benefit. “Adding ioimage to our integrated products portfolio adds real value for our customers,” Krebs said in a statement. “Immix users are now able to leverage the advanced video analytics of ioimage and offer new, value-added service offerings designed to drive down false-alarm rates while increasing the overall service level to their end customers.”

Ioimage president Americas John Whiteman agreed. “Right now, if a customer wants to do remote viewing, they're sitting there watching endless streams of video and what we've done by integrating our analytics into the Immix platform is send them only alerts,” Whiteman said. “SureView offers software for central station and remote video management, and the partnership between us improves the effectiveness of those operators … we only send them actionable intelligence to view and respond to.”
