CLOVIS, Calif. and TAMPA, Fla.--Pelco, a designer and developer of video security systems, on Oct. 20 announced it had formed a strategic partnership with video-centric security-software developer SureView Systems. The partnership will offer mutual customers of Pelco and SureView a comprehensive integration between Pelco's hardware and SureView's automation platform Immix, expanding the reach of each company and providing more functional solutions for dealers.
According to Pelco business development manager of integration (Europe, Middle East, Africa) Stephanie Lantoine the partnership will benefit dealers. "With this partnership we will assure from our side to always support SureView in the effort of the integration of all our products," Lantoine said in an email interview. "In return, SureView [will] integrate all our products and leverage the integration with the latest release products and tools."
SureView EVP Matt Krebs said a big challenge--due to the large diversity of equipment employed in different solutions--for central stations has always been to offer consistent service to their dealers. The partnership with Pelco will, according to Krebs, make consistent service easier. "Pelco's massive. They're one of the preeminent players in the video recording and imaging world, and to have a relationship with them, for us, is key," Krebs said. "Across the board, for a number of different reasons, but certainly from a central station perspective, if you standardize on one product line--especially one like Pelco who is absolutely known and renowned for its world class service--it gives them an edge when it comes to consistency of product and consistency of performance."
Pelco director of third-party integration and strategic partnering Dave DeLisser agrees the partnership will allow dealers and central stations to be more effective. "Dealers, central monitoring station providers, and end users can design, install and use Pelco and SureView Systems products together with confidence of success. Partnering allows SureView Systems developers to work closely with Pelco developers, SureView Systems technical support people to work closely with Pelco technical support people, etc.," DeLisser said in an email interview. "We are separate companies, but by partnering we become more effective at delivering solutions that our joint customers are asking for with the reliability they are expecting."
SureView has integrated the Pelco DX4500, 4600, 8100 and DigitalSentry lines of DVRs and Sarix lines of IP cameras into Immix, its single platform for the management of video surveillance/CCTV, intrusion and fire alarms, access control and VoIP audio.
