SAN ANTONIO, Texas—In a move to bolster dealer growth and services, United Central Control, a provider of monitored security services based here, has named Ron Bowden as director of dealer development, according to a news release. Created specifically for Bowden, the position involves consultation with UCC's security dealers to help them explore new ways to grow sales and build profits.
This is Bowden's second go-around with UCC. In the 1980s he was a part owner of the company. He's also the former owner of Ranger American, a national alarm company that sold to Guardian Protection Services in 2008. Since that time, Ron had been employed by Guardian as their regional manager for South Texas, the release noted.
“Ron will help us become more proactive in our dealer relations,” Mark Matlock, UCC's senior vice president, said, in a prepared statement. “Part of Ron's job will be to work with UCC dealers to deliver valuable consultation on how to increase their sales and profits.”
In addition to being a former owner of UCC, Ron was also a customer who at one time monitored several thousand accounts with the company until buying a central station in 2004 and moving those accounts.
