PITTSBURGH—Vector Security is accepting applications for its 2014 Loss Prevention Foundation (LPF) scholarship program through March 31, the company announced recently.
The scholarships cover all course and exam fees for retail loss-prevention professionals working to obtain LPF's Loss Prevention Qualified or Loss Prevention Certified certifications.
“Over the years, LPQ and LPC certifications have become immensely popular and well-respected,” said Michael Grady, Vector executive vice president, in a prepared statement. “We're honored to assist worthy individuals who otherwise may be hindered by the costs associated with obtaining this certification.”
Vector Security has awarded 109 scholarships worth a total $105,000 since the program's 2009 inception, and expanded the program into Canada in 2012. The company will award 10 qualification and 10 certification scholarships to U.S.-based professionals, and five certification scholarships to professionals based in Canada, according to the statement.
