SAN MATEO, Calif. – Verkada, a cloud-managed enterprise building security and management provider, has secured an additional $100 million in funding, bringing the company’s Series D total capital raised to $305 million.
This round of funding was led by Alkeon Capital, with additional investment from Lightspeed Venture Partners and others. Verkada said that this infusion of money into the company will support its future expansion plans which the company called “ambitious” and will also contribute to the development of new products and its growing team.
“Being approached by investors Alkeon and Lightspeed to join our Series D is further validation that our now 20,000 customers love what we're building,” Verkada CFO Kameron Rezai said. “Whether it's enabling retailers like Canada Goose to reduce operational inefficiencies or schools like Durham College to establish dynamic emergency response plans, Verkada's integrated platform is more important and needed than ever.”
Verkada also recently partnered with Convergint on enhancing building security for customers and released a new line of PTZ cameras. You can learn more about the company and their offerings online at www.verkada.com.
