ORANGE CITY, Fla.-Safetron Security Services picked up some new accounts in December, thanks to its purchase of the alarm division of Vogel Investigative and Protective Services.
Paul Casassa, president of Safetron, characterized the purchase as small, but one that integrates well with his company because both used the same products and central station. The purchase price and number of accounts from Vogel were not released.
"Everything melded in perfectly because he's a Security Pro Dealer and he used CMS (monitoring)," said Casassa, the former owner of APC Alarms. He started Safetron a year ago and today the company serves 1,000 customers.
The sale was part of Bob Vogel's plans to exit the security business. As of press time he was still negotiating the sale of his security guard division, but had already struck an agreement to sell his investigative business to a former employee.
"The offer was a good move for both me and Paul," said Vogel. "It was good for me from the standpoint in that I'm selling out my company to do other things that I have in mind."
