ASHLAND, Va.—VSC Fire & Security announced it has acquired United Piping, based out of Ridgeland, Miss., effective March 31, 2024.
According to VSC, this partnership expands its presence in the state and gives customers of both companies’ additional service offerings, increased standardization of services and an enhanced network of support staff.
“The team at United Piping are at the top of their market, and we look forward to giving them the tools and support so that they can continue to excel while exploring new opportunities,” said Tommy Clements, president of VSC Fire & Security. “With the United Piping acquisition, we continue to attract people with a shared vision of what great companies look like and how they act.”
United Piping employees can also expect a broader network for support, alongside additional training advancement and growth opportunities.
“This isn’t just a business transaction; it’s a joining of forces, a strengthening of bonds within our industry,” noted Jeff Riddle, senior vice president and regional manager at VSC Fire & Security. “Together, we’re poised to deliver even greater value and service to our clients and communities. I’m incredibly excited about this next chapter in our journey.”
This partnership was instigated through mutual involvement in the American Fire Sprinkler Association and was a natural move for both parties, but not one without serious consideration.
“United Piping has been a leader in the Mississippi fire sprinkler industry for more than 50 years and the decision of how to handle the next chapter came with great responsibility,” said Greg Goza, president of United Piping, Inc. “Through this process, we’ve seen the professionalism and personalism of the VSC team, which really showed us this is the right fit. United Piping has always been a family; VSC will allow us to keep that family and provide us with greater resources to do our jobs more efficiently and to better serve our customers.”
All 25 United Piping employees will be retained, and no personnel changes are planned.
