WAYNE, Pa. – Wittenbach, an Argosy Private Equity portfolio company, has announced the acquisition of The Gilbertson Group (TGG), a provider of security solutions specializing in physical and electronic security systems integration.
TGG is a second-generation family-owned UL-listed company that has provided security solutions to customers in finance, healthcare, education, commercial, government, pharmaceutical, retail and property management for more than three decades. They specialize in physical and electronic security systems integration, retail delivery and security consulting in the Mid-Atlantic region and throughout the U.S. and Canada.
"We are thrilled for TGG to join our Wittenbach team. We look forward to leveraging the combined strength of both companies to provide even better services and support to our many customers across the PA, DE, and MD markets," said Don Charlton, partner, Argosy Private Equity and chairman of Wittenbach.
For over 40 years Wittenbach has delivered cash automation, and physical/electronic security products to regional communities and nationally recognized credit unions, banks, and financial institutions. Wittenbach says the integration is already underway and the acquisition of TGG will further enhance the growth of the company by providing density in an important region for Wittenbach and its customers. “The combined company will be enabled to better serve their combined customer base, execute cross-selling opportunities in the financial institution sector while expanding into government and commercial sectors across their footprint,” the company wrote in its official release. Wittenbach says it and TGG’s management teams, along with parent company Argosy, are working to execute the Argosy Value Acceleration Methodology (AVAM) toolkit in order to take advantage of integrating operations and creating synergies between the companies.
