Airline swaps boarding passes with biometrics

SEATTLE—Alaska Airlines recently tested replacing boarding passes with fingerprint scans, USA Today reported.
The test involved 200 people, each using their fingerprint to drop off bags, clear security and board their planes. Enrolling in the program took the participants about 20 minutes, according to the report.
