PRESCOTT, Ariz.—A May 12 story from the Daily Courier reports a new alarm ordinance that city officials say is as "lean" as possible is set to go into effect in Prescott this summer.
In a unanimous vote on May 10, the Prescott City Council approved an ordinance that will make the owners of private security systems accountable for their false alarms.
After the first two false-alarm warnings, owners will face fines in $100 increments for the third, and further, instances.
