PROVO, Utah—Alex Dunn, who previously served as Vivint's chief operating officer, has been promoted to the position of company president, according to a company statement. Dunn will manage Vivint's revenue growth and expansion plans, while directing ongoing initiatives, innovations, and performance goals.
“In the seven years Alex has been with the company, we have seen tremendous growth and expansion due in large part to his leadership and vision,” said Todd Pedersen, CEO and founder of Vivint. “Alex was a critical component of—and often lead the charge for—our decisions to service the accounts we sold, establish our private-equity and financing structure, rebrand the company and expand into home automation and solar.”
In his previous role as COO at Vivint, Dunn oversaw the company's daily operations, financial activities and business processes.
Vivint late last year was purchased by the Blackstone Group for more than $2 billion. The company also recently created the position of chief strategy and innovation officer and hired prominent strategy consultant Matthew Eyring for the job.
