Active Alarm installs donated system at historical society

MOUNT PROSPECT, Ill.—John Gatsakos, president of Active Alarm Company in Lake Zurich, Ill., installed a new donated fire and intrusion system at the Mount Prospect Historical Society.

The systems was paid for by the estate of Donald Hoeg, a long-time resident of Mount Prospect. The estate paid for the alarm's installation in the historical society's 1896 one-room Central School, which is undergoing restoration

The Mount Prospect Historical Society acquired the historic building in 2004. Renovations have been ongoing since 2008.

“We are one step closer to opening Central School so it can once again serve our community,” historical society executive director Lindsay Rice said in a prepared statement.
