NASHVILLE, Tenn.—ADS Security recently announced two acquisitions: Delta Security Systems, based in Brownsville, Tenn., and Wilson Alarm Company in Hopkinsville, Ky.
“The key is that it builds on the reputation we have with customers by bringing long-term relationships,” John Cerasuolo, president and CEO of ADS Security, told Security Systems News. “These are not recently generated accounts, they're not fast growing companies. These customers have been with each of these two businesses for a long time.”
In total, the purchases added about 1,000 accounts to ADS' base and the company is bringing on one employee from Delta. Both Delta and Wilson had mostly residential customers, with some commercial. This pair of deals makes six acquisitions for ADS in 2018.
Delta Security Systems customers will now be serviced by the ADS Security branch in Jackson, Tenn., and the Wilson Alarm Company customers will be serviced by the ADS branch in Clarksville, Tenn.
ADS values deals, such as Delta and Wilson, where the customers are well serviced by small business owners, with close contact and relationships, Cerasuolo said. “That just helps us to build on what we have going in each of these markets,” he said.
“These often will be the best deals that we do, in terms of attrition and fold-ins to an existing branch location where we have a big presence. So, they're small in account number, but big in terms of the impact that have on us growing each of our individual locations,” Cerasuolo said.
