NASHVILLE, Tenn—ADS Security has acquired 550 customers and two new employees with the acquisition of Integrated Systems of Opelika, Ala., Tom Cooney, ADS senior vice president told Security Systems News.
ADS now has 20,000 accounts in Alabama.
The 25-year-old residential and commercial security company, which also offers home automation services and a UL-listed, CSAA Five Diamond monitoring center based here, has been on a buying spurt recently, aimed at expanding its Southeast footprint. This is its fourth purchase this year, following acquisitions in South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia.
The company continues to look for expansion opportunities, including in new areas, Cooney said.
ADS has known Integrated Systems and its former owner Tommy Vordenbaum for a while as it provided monitoring for most of the company's accounts before the acquisition.
Vordenbaum will be joining ADS in a sales position, Cooney said.
Acquired accounts this year are about 6,500, the company said.
The purchased accounts will be serviced out the ADS Auburn office located Opelika.
