Casino upgrades surveillance system

LAS VEGAS - Systems integrator North American Video recently completed an extensive upgrade to the security and surveillance systems at the Golden Nugget Casino and Hotel.

The system, installed by the Brick, N.J.-based company, provides expanded surveillance control capabilities by using an Ultrak MAX-1000 Video Management System. The system controls several hundred cameras located throughout the casino, hotel and surrounding property.

The upgrades enable security personnel to monitor and control cameras through 10 keyboard controllers within the casino’s security system. The system also accommodated the Gold Nugget’s existing American Dynamics dome and PTZ system.
