DICE announces new Tech Security Summit for spring 2019 The company is expanding on its existing DICE Users Group conference to benefit more attendees

BAY CITY, Mich.—DICE Corporation announced in late October that it will be expanding its annual user's conference, addressing new topics and bringing in new professionals.

The event will be held in Nashville, Tenn., at the Sheraton Grand National Downtown from April 29 to May 2, 2019. Event highlights include panel discussions with DICE representatives and industry experts, product demos, exhibitor showcases, education and training, roundtable sessions, and networking and group activities, the announcement noted.

“We'll have both tracks. The DICE users' part will be traditional, where we go over our software for end users, and work on showing them the new features,” Cliff Dice, company president and CEO, told Security Systems News. “Then there will also be the track of the Tech Summit, where there will be technical discussions outside of our software but more for the industry as well.”

Topics will include video technologies, IT networks, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud storage, and receiver technologies among others, according to Dice. “We're pretty much going to be covering all of the technology topics associated with infrastructure. My hope would be to have that all covered,” said Dice.

Registration for the event is now open, the Oct. 24 announcement said. The DICE Users Group conference has traditionally attracted about 200 people, Dice said, and the company hopes to bring that number to between 300 and 400 in 2019.

“Anybody's IT director would be welcome to come to it, whether they're an installing alarm company, a dealer company … or someone wanting to learn about the industry and where the technology is at,” Dice said.
