GE Interlogix picks wireless winners

NORTH ST. PAUL, Minn. -GE Interlogix announced the winners of its Seventh Annual Wireless Awards contest in early November during its national dealer sales meeting in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Six companies received awards during the six-day event, which last year was called the Interlogix Wireless Awards. This year’s winner for the Best Wireless Residential Installation was American Detection Specialists of Springfield, Mo., for installing a wireless security systems that helps a mentally challenged person with an eating disorder know when to stop eating. The system also provides smoke protection and ensures his safety. The Best Wireless Commercial Burglar Installation Award went to Fire, Burglar Alarms Inc. of Rockville, Md. The company installed a commercial wireless system to protect the staff and priceless artifacts of the Washington Hebrew Congregation. Guardian Security of North Carolina in Lincolnton, N.C., was the recipient of the Best Wireless Commercial Fire Installation Award for installing a fire system at the East Lincoln Chart School that enabled the new school to open on time and will allow more additions in the future. Merit Awards were also presented to Westminster Security of Westminster, Md. and True Steel Security of North Bay, Ontario.
