DALLAS—Monitronics International, a third-party central station based here, will relocate to a new three-story, 165,000-square-foot corporate campus in the middle of 2015, Bruce Mungiguerra, vice president of operations at Monitronics, told Security Systems News.
The new campus is located in Farmers Branch, Texas, a city north of Dallas, in the Mercer Business Park, a 225-acre development, according to a report from the Dallas Business Journal. The business park is owned by the Billingsley Company, a Dallas-based development firm.
Monitronics is on a rapid growth trajectory in the wake of its $507 million acquisition of Security Networks last year. The new campus is designed to accommodate near- and long-term growth of the company's employee base.
“Making the [Mercer Business Park] center the new home of Monitronics will not only allow us to consolidate our operations into one central location but also serves to support the continued growth of the business over the long term,” Mungiguerra said in an email communication.
Monitronics is the first tenant to sign on at the Mercer Business Park, which is located on a “high-profile tract of land” at the northwest corner of the Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway and the Stemmons Freeway, according to the Dallas Business Journal article.
Mungiguerra added: “We continue to believe it is a great time to be in the security industry and remain confident that we are well positioned to capitalize on the opportunities ahead.”
