MSCA hosts lobby day at Massachusetts state capitol

BOSTON - The Massachusetts Systems Contractors Association held a lobby day at the state capitol to educate legislators about the systems contractor market. The day-long event featured presentations from MSCA President Paul Frisoli, and Rep. Martin Walsh, the first chair of the newly formed House Committee on Homeland Security, as they talked about advanced technologies effecting Homeland Security as well as personal, business and school security. The event also highlighted locally manufactured security products from facial recognition company Viisage, fingerprint and card reader company IEI, and hand geometry firm Recognition Systems. According to an MSCA press release, the goal of the event was to inform legislators that systems contractors and systems technicians are licensed to install, maintain and repair power-limited systems.
