PSA Security Network moving dates, location for TEC 2018 Conference relocating to downtown Denver during ski season

WESTMINSTER, Colo.—PSA Security Network, a global electronic security cooperative, announced that its PSA TEC conference is moving to the Downtown Denver Sheraton in 2018, from March 11-15.

The annual conference, which was created in support of PSA's integrators, vendors and members—including ProAV professionals following the recent acquisition of USAV—was held here for several years at the Westminster Westin in the May timeframe.

“It really is not complicated,” PSA Security Network's president and CEO Bill Bozeman told Security Systems News. “We just outgrew the facility—it is a great facility and we love it, but it is unfortunate that it is not a little bit bigger.” Bozeman pointed out that PSA TEC 2017 sold out the Westin as well as the Marriott across the street, forcing attendees into a third hotel.

“Growing the show is not our No. 1 objective, but it just is [growing],” he explained. “The hotel [Downtown Denver Sheraton] is bigger, so we look forward to having everyone under one roof. In addition, I think some of our younger members and supporters are going to enjoy being in downtown Denver, where there is so much to do.”

Bozeman noted that the conference was at one time held in February, and when it was moved to May many complained about losing opportunities to ski. “Now that we are in March, we are going to put the ski trip back together, which will be popular,” he said.

PSA TEC 2017 brought approximately 1,000 attendees together, providing an ideal forum for education and networking, including vendor awards, PSA TEC sponsor hospitality suites and a one-day trade show that featured more than 100 exhibitors in an intimate setting. In addition to training and certification opportunities from manufacturers as well as from SIA, ASIS and CompTIA, this year's educational program touched on many of the top trends in the industry today, including cybersecurity, cloud, biometrics, IoT, robots, drones and data analytics.
