Sohovich departs Honeywell The company says succession plan under way, but no replacement named yet

MELVILLE, N.Y.—JoAnna Sohovich has resigned as president of Honeywell Security & Communications, Security Systems News has learned.

Sohovich resigned Dec. 2, according to sources.

Honeywell spokesman David Gottlieb confirmed that Sohovich “has decided to leave Honeywell to pursue other opportunities.”

“We thank JoAnna for her contributions to the Security Group as well as other Honeywell businesses and wish her well in her future endeavors,” Gottlieb said.

Sohovich was named president of Honeywell Security & Communications in September 2010. Prior to that role, Sohovich held leadership positions in several of Honeywell's business divisions, including running its Commercial Control Systems, a business within the company's Environmental and Combustion Controls unit.

Sohovich also served as president of the First Alert Professional dealer group.

No replacement has been named for Sohovich.

Gottlieb said, “Honeywell Security has a strong leadership team in place committed to delivering for our customers and ensuring a smooth transition while we execute our succession plan. We will share news regarding our new leadership as soon as we finalize this process.”
