Wisconsin man uses security system to break up party

FOND DU LAC, Wis.—Out of town for the weekend, a resident of this Wisconsin city notified local authorities of a party at his house after checking his security system, according to an article from the Fond Du Lac Reporter, a local newspaper.

The man called the sheriff's office to report that his daughter and son were the only ones allowed in the house while he was away, the article said. There were about 30 young adults on the property.

When officers showed up at the property, no one answered the door. But the young adults, many of them teenagers, eventually complied after officers informed them they had received word about the party form the homeowner, according to the article.

Seventeen underage drinking tickets were issued, along with several citations, including a violation of a social hosting ordinance that prohibits furnishing a place for minors to drink, according to the report.
