SAN DIEGO—Alarm Relay, a UL-listed central station based here, is rolling out new products and services to enable interactive features designed for use on iPhone and Android mobile phones, according to a news release.
The offerings allow clients to remotely manage lights, locks, thermostats and security systems through a mobile app. Alarm Relay's units are capable of communicating with most existing alarm panels on the market, the release noted.
The company also released a CDMA and IP combination unit, which uses an Ethernet cable to provide Internet as the main communication to the alarm, while the cellular connection uses CDMA technology for redundancy, according to the release.
“With many cellular companies restructuring their network, and eliminating 2G towers, these modules allow customers to leverage modern technology to retrofit their existing alarm,” Paolo Piscatelli, COO, Alarm Relay, said in a prepared statement.
