CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif.— Systems integration firm Alpha TSi in May completed an extensive school installation in Montreal. The project included almost 900 Hikvision IP cameras using Milestone VMS and archiving, according to a news release.
Alpha TSi installed Hikvision fixed domes for indoors and outdoors: 1.3MP domes with true WDR (wide dynamic range), true day/night, superior low-light performance, motorized lens for remote focus and remote zoom, and POE/High POE. Both camera types are fully integrated with the Milestone software including SD edge storage support.
"Hikvision cameras have great image quality, impressive true WDR, motorized lenses that are easy to adjust using the Milestone VMS, and the edge storage precisely meets the client's needs," said Philippe Bergeron, VP, Alpha TSi, in a prepared statement.
Hikvision customized special firmware for this large project. “This is the kind of service we just don't see from everyone,” said Sébastien Céré, president of Alpha TSi, in a prepared statement.
Hikvision annually reinvests 7 percent of its revenue into R&D. The Milestone XProtect software provides three flexible client interfaces in 27 languages for the efficient administration of the system, the users, and the cameras that are distributed across the multiple sites. Live video is also recorded for fast searching in case of incidents, and easy sharing or export to authorities.
