American Alarm buys First Stop

MANCHESTER, N.H.—American Alarm and Communications has acquired First Stop Security's installation, service and systems monitoring business. First Stop, based in Milford, N.H., serves about 100 homes and businesses in the area.
“This is a great a fit for us,” Wells Sampson, president of American Alarm, said in a prepared statement. “We'll be able to serve these customers from our new Manchester facility.” American Alarm announced last month the relocation of its New Hampshire office and service center to Manchester.
First Stop approached American Alarm earlier this year about acquiring the company after founder and owner Mark Wheeler decided to move to Florida.
First Stop's customers are now monitored by American Alarm's U.L.-certified central station.
