Former Interlogix president joins Guardian Protection

WARRENDALE, Pa.—Bob Haskins, former president of Interlogix, will fill a newly created position at Guardian Protection Services, according to a company announcement this week. Haskins' responsibilities as Guardian's VP of strategic planning and business development will include helping to expand the company's dealer program, the announcement said.
Guardian, based here, said Haskins “will be actively engaged in establishing enhanced business models for both the internal account generating units of Guardian, as well as its highly regarded authorized dealer program.”
Guardian CEO Russell Cersosimo said in a prepared statement: “Bob is a well-known industry leader. His unique and vast experience, including his success in developing strategic partner programs, introduces a new and exciting dimension to the Guardian family. This will pay great dividends for our dealer program. … From the corporate perspective, Bob will help us utilize our significant financial and operational strengths to continue the expansion of the Guardian authorized dealer network.”
While at Interlogix, a division of UTC Climate, Controls & Security within United Technologies Corporation, Haskins “was responsible for driving the strategy and profitability of the global video and intrusion product businesses for UTC Climate, Controls & Security, while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Interlogix security and life safety business,” the announcement said. “During that time, he reintroduced the brand name Interlogix—chosen to replace the GE Security name after UTC's acquisition of that business—as the go-to market brand, gaining it global recognition.”
Prior to his role at UTC, Haskins was VP and general manager of U.S. security at GE Security, the announcement said.
Haskins said in a statement that is he is “looking forward to contributing to the continuing success of Guardian.”
